Broken, but stronger than before

Broken, but stronger than before

It’s during the times that we don’t understand what God is doing that our faith is tested, and we are given the opportunity to grow. Through the dark days, through the challenges, through the pain, through the valley, God is who he says he is. He is good, he is constant, he holds the world. Never once have we ever walked alone. There may be so many questions without answers, but his promises remain.

Today Shawn surprised me with this necklace from Lisa’s line, as a special memento to what we’ve been through this year, what we’ve lost, and what we’ve overcome. I love the necklace, and I love what Lisa says to describe why she created it. “This necklace so reflects my heart. Broken, but stitched up and stronger than before. It’s a constant reminder that even though you may feel broken, there are rays of light and beauty to be found—life is imperfect but if we look closely there is beauty!”20130716-164916.jpg

A gift full of meaning. "Stitched up and stronger than before".

I’m so thankful for beauty and grace in brokenness, and for thoughtful surprises too!
