Tomorrow we take the 14-hour, overnight boat trip to our new home in the Casamance, the southern region of Senegal. Living there, we will be involved in training, teaching and discipling some Senegalese believers that have expressed interest in reaching their own people groups, and establishing churches among them. We will be working with a small cell group of believers in Cap Skirring. Our team members (a German family and a single American woman, also members of NTM) will be in a nearby village about 15 minutes down the road from where we’ll be living. Their specific goals will be learning the language and culture of the people group that they will be living amongst, and building relationships with them with the hope of one day seeing a church established. We’re excited to be a part of what God is doing!
We actually visited Cap Skirring (“Cap” for short) last May, with no idea that we would ever be moving there. It’s been so cool to see God’s hand at work, and to watch how He has arranged this situation, the team, and our friendship with the guys who want to be taught.
Pray that God will do great things, and that His Word will be taken to places where it has never been before!
We’ll write once we arrive and have access to internet.
His hands and feet in Africa,
