Yesterday was a really awesome day. It’s true that it was also long, hot and tiring, but it was a really awesome day.
Shawn, Caesar (the Brazilian pastor from our Senegalese church), our summer intern Hélène, and myself, all loaded into Caesar’s truck and drove the 2.5 hours to Joine. There’s a young church there in the village that was planted a few years ago by our church in Dakar.
Two years ago when we lived in Dakar, Shawn would go to Joine almost every Wednesday with one or two of the pastors from our church.
Yesterday we went to encourage the believers in three different villages, pray with them, show Hélène what village life is like, and to spend some time visiting with some of the people out there.
Enjoy the pictures from our day.
Pray for the believers out in Joine and the surrounding villages. Pray for pastor Doodoo and his wife, and their two kids, that God will provide for their needs (they live on about $100 a month), and that they will be bold as they reach out to those around them.
